Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
The short version: Pland is a resource forecasting tool for consultancies. You own your data. We host it securely. You pay a flat fee based on firm size, billed quarterly or annually. Either of us can end the agreement with 30 days’ notice. If you leave, you get 30 days to export your data.
What this covers
These terms govern your use of Pland (the “Service”), operated by PL& Ltd, registered in England and Wales. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
Pland is a resource forecasting and project commercial management tool. It helps consultancies plan staffing, track project profitability, and manage utilisation. It is not an accounting tool, a timesheet system, or an invoicing platform.
Your account
You need a valid work email to access Pland. The person who sets up the account is the account owner and is responsible for managing access for their organisation. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
Each organisation gets a single, isolated workspace. You must not attempt to access another organisation’s data or workspace.
Plans and billing
Pland is priced as a flat fee based on the number of people in your firm. Plans are billed quarterly or annually. Annual plans include a 15% discount.
Prices may change with 60 days’ written notice. If you don’t accept a price change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Invoices are payable within 14 days. If payment is overdue by more than 30 days, we may suspend access to the Service until the balance is settled. Your data will not be deleted during a suspension.
Your data
You own your data. We don’t sell it, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use it to train machine learning models. We access it only to operate the Service, provide support you’ve requested, or comply with legal obligations.
You can export your data at any time. If you cancel, you have 30 days to export. After 30 days, data is marked for deletion. Backups are purged within 90 days of cancellation.
What you can and can’t do
You may use Pland for your organisation’s internal business purposes. You may not:
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to Pland as part of your own product or service
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Use the Service to store or transmit material that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes on others’ rights
- Attempt to access another organisation’s data or circumvent access controls
Intellectual property
Pland (the software, design, documentation, and branding) belongs to PL& Ltd. Your subscription gives you a licence to use the Service. It doesn’t transfer ownership of any intellectual property.
Your data remains yours. By uploading data, you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display it solely to provide the Service.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Pland available and reliable, but we can’t guarantee 100% uptime. We’ll give reasonable notice of planned maintenance where possible.
Support is provided by email. We aim to respond to queries within one business day.
Cancellation
Either party can cancel with 30 days’ written notice. If you cancel mid-billing period, access continues until the end of the current paid period. We don’t offer partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.
After cancellation: 30 days for data export, then deletion. Backups purged within 90 days.
Liability
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or the Service is limited to the fees you’ve paid in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, lost profits, or loss of data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
